About the Human Tissue Act Print
Image In 2006, the Human Tissue Act established laws to prevent DNA ‘theft’. Under this act, it is unlawful to have ‘any human tissue with the intention of its DNA being analysed without the consent of the person from whom the tissue came’. Genetic Discovery makes every effort to ensure that consent is attained from every tested individual (or legal guardian) before each DNA test. Protecting your rights is of utmost importance to us.
